Cantonese vs Mandarin Empty Cantonese vs Mandarin

    Hello everybody,

Would it be possible to split up the Chinese section to Mandarin and Cantonese? I can quite well read Mandarin pinyin to keep up with the songs, but in Cantonese I have no chance... Of course a lot of singers only sing in one language or the other, but some have songs in Mandarin and Cantonese, often even a Cantonese and a Mandarin version of one song (for example Jacky Cheung)... Therefore it is a little hard to find the songs that I can sing (I am also bad with identifying singers by their funny "English" names, because I am used to the original Mandarin names).

Another possibility would be to mark it somehow in the title of the topic, of course... Smile

Well you do have a point there, I have thought about that too once about splitting them up between canto and mando maybe if one ofthe mods see this, they could possibly integrate this sort of thing

    Hello!
    these are great ideas!

I'll see what I can do between Mandarin and Cantonese.
concerning the names of singers is more difficult, except maybe to add its Chinese name, English name, his name as a symbol ...
but then the message title will be too big too!
then maybe put it in the discription?
then, it is Songmakers that must watch Very Happy

You pretty much killed me with that XD! I still can't tell the difference between Mandarin and Cantonese ;_; So... in my case I would have to need someone to teach me xD! Thank god I didn't make too many Chinese songs (?) xD

We could apply the same method we use in the Request part, for example:
    [CAN] ---
    [MAN] ---

    o.o!

    great idea!

the difference between Mandarin and Cantonese is the pronunciation Smile
    symbols are identical

I'll start looking at the songs and change the titles!
to see if it is not bad!

    Kagor, what do you think?

ok, the sandy1manu idea is the better !
there are already pinyin or symbol parts...
if we add txo others parts for mando and canto version...
    ouhlala

    then: add [MAN] and [CAN]
    but where add that ???
in start ? or in finish ??

if in start, then: all [CAN] song are in the first place
and for a singer with two version songs... these songs will be separate
    it's a problem ??

or maybe... after the artist name ??

it's better to find all cantonese song in a first look ?
or find all artist songs ?

Kagor ? you can help me for change and check the songs titles ??

    thank you !

    babye all !

yeah, ill add the [CAN] and [MAN] on all my titles.

I think its better to add at the front [CAN]/[MAN]

that way it will all be sorted Smile

But if with the song has both Cantonese and Mandarin?

    shall I add [CAN][MAN]?
