    Just wondering what all you folks out there watch?
    Animations like Bleach? Naruto? One Piece? Psycho-Pass? feel free to let us all know what animes/mangas you like watching/reading! I'd be very interested to see what else is out there from all your opinions! Very Happy

    wow! that's a lot of recent anime too! Is initial D 5th stage any good? I've previously seen the 4th stage, it kinda lost me, mind you i do drift in real life, not anymore, after i blew the block that was pretty much it for it! Very Happy Polar Bear Cafe is pretty cool! but for sure! initial D is pretty epic! speaking of which i might just check up on the manga - Very Happy

    I watch all sorts of anime. I never shy away from anything, even Yaoi, Yuri, Incest. If I don't like it, it's because it's bad and no other reason. But if we go by genres, my favourites are slice of life, comedy, action and fantasy (for manga/novels it would be more romance, slice of life and mystery). As such most of my favourites fall into these genres (Trigun, Tonari no Totoro...), the exception being anything by Satoshi Kon, that is to me the greatest director of all time and makes mainly psychological movies - I watched all of his films and there isn't one I don't love.


    Right now I'm watching Hetalia: The Beautiful World (the only on-going series I'm watching - I only like to watch anime when the series is finished or is a big-ass shounen but this one doesn't really have a continuous plot, so no cliffhangers) and I'm about to start on Koutetsu Sangokushi. After that it will be another random series (probably Fancy Lala), and so on and so forth, with the occasional movie or ova in trown in.

    Anyone in love with K project as I do? I know that this title get lot of critics since the plot isn't clear and the characters aren't well developed by GoRa in the anime, unfortunately this title born under a dark star since it's fruit of a new merchandise strategy. In fact GoRa and GoHands thought that for those who are interested knowing more about this title and it's characters to release various Drama CDS, novels, mangas etc.. so the fans could BUY them and find out more about their beloved characters. A very cruel strategy that has show this title as a negative one.. 
    I'm one of those following all those stuffs about novels and mangas and drama cds so I couldn't do nothing then fell in love for this title... ;_;

    Sorry, not me. The only thing I liked in K was the animation and art, it was truly stunning and in that aspect I think it might of been the best of its year. But the rest - story and characters - I didn't like, it end of being a big disappointment for me in that regard since the setup was actually very interesting.
    I see though how it can be a guilty pleasure to a lot of people - I actually know plenty - since its still a watchable show and is even enjoyable at times.

    Unfortunately I agree, in the animation there are plenty of missing things about the story and the characters, that's cause, as I explained, GoRA is using an horrible merchandise style where you can only find out about them reading novels, mangas and listening the drama cds and various other audio stuffs that they release. I myself got very disappointed about the animation and expected more in a theoretical second season. Season that will never come since they turned it in the new way to gain moneys, aka movies. They'll just put an after-anime movie which will surely not be enough for an anime that miss about story and characters.
    Not talking that of 7 kings they shown just 5 of them.. 
    It's really horrible what they did on it because, as you said, it had a nice setup. However since I'm one of those following all the back stuffs as novels etc.. I'm really loving it and how slowly it's coming out a puzzle about the story.

    Yeah the marketing strategy is really... yeah... well... I don't like it, because if I decide to watch an anime, I want to know everything! And I don't like to follow another manga, and another cd and another this and another that. But nonetheless I love K. Yeah the anime don't give it all away, but I totally love the characters! (Yata~~~~ **) In my opinion the characters of an anime are very important. The story could be perfect and awesome, but when the characters are hollow and have no personality, I can't enjoy it. On the other hand, if the characters are awesome and I love them, I could connive over a lame story.
    Ok.. the story of K isn't lame... its only that it doesn't have the chance to shine in one season with only 13 episodes.

    That's the problem of this new "trend". In the past, you watched an anime with usually 26 episodes. And it was finished. Now you have those 13-episode seasons. And mostly there are NO second seasons, because the ratings of the first season were bad and they don't want to produce another one. (And it's so depressing, that most of the awesome animes that I like, are popular in the western countries but totally suck in the japanese viewer ratings...) Yeah, well... then let's read the manga if there is one. At times it's so unsatisfying :/ Nonetheless I like watching animes, because of the seiyuus, awesome openings, soundtracks and and and... xD

    Oh, I didn't say what I like xD I love quirky stories with awesome characters xD Like Durarara!! and yeah as I mentioned K xD One anime which impressed me recently, was Psycho Pass ** Awesome and profound story AND I loved the characters.
