"Real Karaoke"-Songs =)

Hey!
How about a section in this forum, where you can download the intrumental versions of the songs. I don't really no how to explain, but for example.
I have the instrumental version of sakuranbo (ootsuka ai). I tried to exchange the instrumental version with the song, but then the time where the lyrics begin to start is not correct.
I'm unfortunatly unable to change the time where the lyrics start, but even if, but anyways.

We could post the whole package, or just the instrumental mp3s + time of some songs. Or do we already have such a section.

I tried that out with DBSK's Doushite. It was hard, lol. So, I just reverted back to the sing along way. But, the idea is not bad. It's just that some songs don't have the instrumentals/less vocals recorded. So it'll be extra work to extract the vocals.

Extracting the vocal parts from a mp3 its a no no... at least for me, I don't know if it is even possible to do. So, like stitchible said, it is nearly impossible to have all songs in karaoke mode.
There is also another thing that makes it hard... the fact that we not always use the track from the cd to make the txt. Sometimes we extract the audio from the MV, maybe because it's not the full song and we want it to synchronize it with the video or the video version is longer, etc.
We Could completely ignore the video and make the original track version, that could be possible, but then we have to pray to whatever god there is that the instrumental version has exactly the same timing than the original one, since we synchronize the lyrics with the help of the vocals.
I'm not gonna tell you that it's impossible because I would be lying to you, but it IS difficult and takes some time. I was very tempted to do a few songs like that... but... I don't know when XD

Well for a few songs it would be possible but to be frank, I am not really interested in such songs. In my experience people won't dare to sing loud if there is not at least a background voice singing the song, because this way they are more afraid to sing wrong and everyone can hear it XD
So if I would make songs like this, nobody would sing them with me, because my friends (and myself) like the songs with the original singers voice way better. ;)

I am making instrumental songs, or 'karaoke' songs.

To distinguish the normal song from an instrumental song i use the codename KAR in the song title.

but it's already true:
a karaoke song is very difficult to make
but if one day, there are lot of karaoke song, then we can open a new part of forum
for moment, there are not lot of karaoke songs :p

Anyways, for the moment I think I have 4 pure instrumentals online (sometimes in a pack with original song) and I have 3-4 more that I am working on.

If the song has already been made for full vocal than making an instrumental version is not as difficult (only a couple of hours I find).
