SingOutStrong Karaoke Player

Hello!
Recently I released a new karaoke playaer/vocal training software.
The SingOutStrong Karaoke Player works pretty much the same way as UltraStar, but it's goal is to be less of a game, and more of a handy, light-weight tool for practicing your skills.



Features:
- Continuous pitch display
- Rewinding to whatever part of the song you desire
- Drag-selecting difficult sections of songs, so you can practice just them
- Changing the key of the song
- Changing the tempo of the song
- Native midi/.kar file support
- Support for mp3, ogg, aiff, and wav audio formats, combined with UltraStar txt files, or mid/kar files

Please let me know if you like it, what would you like to change, or what would you like to have added in the software.
I plan to develop it heavily in the coming months, but I would like to know what kind of features would be most useful for you.

i have see one problem with my ultrastar song... if the TXT file does not have the same name as the mp3 file, then it does not detect it

but for others, it works well!

i continue to try, but i think it's a good player for test a song, and see your vocal position in the song !!

Yeah, you're right about the txt files. I thought that since most of the time they have the same name as the mp3, it would be easiest to assume this is always the case, and so new users won't have to worry about the txt's at all - just load the mp3.

But it makes sense to give more flexibility to someone more advanced.
So what do you think would be the most practical way to handle this?
I have two ideas:
- If you selected two files (one of which would be a txt) and dragged them into the player, it would load the selected txt file, even if it has a different file name then the mp3.
- If you have a song loaded and drag just the txt, it would keep the song, and just switch the txt file.

Would that be ok?
Would you like to have other ways of loading txt files?

i think... the best of the best, but i don't know if possible:

we charge the txt file, and your program read the #MP3: tag in the txt file, for charge the good mp3

you use already the #BPM and #GAP tag no ?? for synch the mp3 with txt file ?

And now that you mention it, it's kind of obvious, and I think this is how it used to work before I published the program... can't remember why I ended up taking it out....

If it lets me work on any part of the song then this could be useful program to test my finished songs instead of playing through the whole thing in Ultrastar.

Indeed it does!
And by Prom's suggestion I'm going to add some basic editing functionality pretty soon.
With time it may even become an all in 1 ultrastar song creator

If that's the case then it needs to do at least do everything Yass can do ^^

I like the fact that it shows continous singing.
