I only just figured out you have to put the language as "日本語" for it to be anything but garbled text, but now I want to know if furigana is possible? I'm not very good at reading kanji

Is it possible to put furigana on Japanese characters in Ultrastar?

By furigana, you mean to have lyrics in kana (hiragana, katakana) without kanjis ?
Yes it is possible. For songs in romaji, you change the romaji by the appropriate kana.
But it takes lots of time to do that.
If you have lyrics with kanjis, maybe there's a way to have the kana written above the kanji
(with a special font).

I mean furigana as in little hiragana above kanjis! A special font... maybe it could work.WingXero wrote:By furigana, you mean to have lyrics in kana (hiragana, katakana) without kanjis ?

I just remembered an old post about Chinese characters.
There, someone explained how with a font, you would have pinyin (romanization) above a chinese character.
It should work the same way with Kanji/kanas. You just need the right font.
I looked a little bit, but did not found any font :/
