the microphone for the game is not working?

Hey guys, I really need help for the microphone setting cause it seems like it can't detect my voice or something. Hope somebody can give me some advice on how to fix this. Thankss

As I use 4 different microphones, that is exactly why I use Ultrastar Deluxe. It has a way of testing your microphone settings that makes it very convenient.

Anyhow. You are going to have to provide more information than that before we can help you.

What kind of microphone are you using? Which Ultrastar? Have you checked that Windows (or whichever) recognized your microphone?

I use the built microphone for the laptop.

And how to test the microphone using ultrastar? I'm using the ultrastar deluxe 1.1..

I don't think any of the Singstars work (or work well) with the built in microphone. You will need to get a USB or jack microphone.

As for testing microphones, you can go to tools --> options --> record (all of this in the game of course). If the moving bars pass from grey to color when you speak, then you know the game hears your voice. Typically, these bars will not move enough with your built in computer. Remember that the game needs to not only hear your voice, but be able to determine your pitch. That's why your microphone can be great for Skype, but not for Ultrastar.
