I'm not sure if anyone else is having this issue but while singing, it seems like, the pace of the karaoke is a little faster than the song. When it goes to a new verse, when I sing, I'm always missing the 1st few parts but I'm singing along with the song. And it's not just one song, it's every song. Is there a setting to adjust this?

Re: Ultrastar speed issue?
Hum... that does sound like an odd problem.
If its for every song than it may be a problem with your Ultrastar settings. Which version are you using? I think in Deluxe World Party there was an option to add a small delay to the microphone. I'm not sure this is it but it could be worth checking.
On second thought... Are these songs that you found ready-to-play (like here or Ultrastar Espana) or is this problem for songs that you found a text file and added an mp3. If the latter, then it's likely a GAP/BPM problem.
Just in case, can you give me the name of one of the songs that doesn't work? (I can check the song files just in case).

Re: Ultrastar speed issue?
It's with everysong. My Ultrastar Deluxe is 1.1.0 Build. Looked in settings and can't find any type of delay. I see a Mic Boost but not sure what the settings for it mean. +6dB? +12dB? And yes, all songs have been downloaded from here only. I got a lot but let's say 2AM - Can't Let You Go Even If I Die, or After School - Because of you.
(Also while you're here, I'm wondering how come I can't request music? I've made 77 post but others are requesting even at 38 post. I'm pretty sure I'm a member as stated in the rules for requesting)

Re: Ultrastar speed issue?
I'm just as confused as you are... You are clearly a member so there should be no problems posting a request? Any chance you can take a screenshot of the message you get and send it to me? The only problem I could see is if you are trying to post in the wrong thread of the forum...
As for the Ultrastar problem, that seems very confusing. The only thing I can suggest at this point is to uninstall (move the song folder) and redownload the installer link (maybe your instal link is faulty?). If all else fails, try downloading instead either the Ultrastar Deluxe WorldParty version or Vocaluxe.
Let me know how it turns out!

Re: Ultrastar speed issue?
I downloaded World Party and it seems to be working much better than the UltraStar Deluxe I had. So far no issues now.
EDIT: Scratch that, I just tried to sing along to B2ST - Rainy Days LIVE and it seems a bit sped up too.

Re: Ultrastar speed issue?
Okay I think I know what your problem is...
Well actually its not exactly a problem per say... I thought it was a speed issue but upon re-reading your comment -and looking at the files-, your problem seems to lie with the page gap. Here's how it works:
You'll notice that when Ultrastar moves to a new line of text, the new line appears a little bit before you actually have to sing it. For example, for a song that has a bpm of 300, I find that the next line appears 3 beats before the actual page break in the txt file. You may or may not start singing immediately after the page break, but when Ultrastar sees a page break in the text file, it gives itself a little head start.
For a 300 bpm song, this means that any note within the last 3 beats before the page gap will not be "visible" as the game will have already changed lines when you are still singing them.
There is a problem for songs with lots of text and rap. We -as songmakers- are forced to put page gaps somewhere in the text (if we don't spilt up the text, Ultrastar will not read the song). But its not always easy... Sometimes we are forced to put a page break (= splitting the text in different lines) but some syllables are super close to the page break. In this case, when you are playing the game, the text will change even though you are still singing the last few words of the previous line.
This is an Ultrastar feature and we are fairly limited in what we can do about it....
1. Use Ultrastar instead of Vocaluxe. For some reason I still don't understand, Vocaluxe starts the next line even before Ultrastar. Songs I have no problems with are suddenly cut off in Vocaluxe.
2. Songmakers can do 3 things:
a. Leave as is
b. Leave the notes as is but put the last syllables in freestyle (only if they are too close to the page break)
c. shorten the length of the last notes of that sentence and the first note of the next sentence to artificially create a bigger gap between both lines. (This is what I try to do in these situations... but we are still forced to follow the flow of the song so we are limited in what we can shorten).
If you are curious about how this works, open the txt file with Yass (its not really visible in the Ultrastar editor) and you'll notice that for this song -and other songs- the notes directly touch the page break (the vertical lines) . These are the notes you are having trouble with.
Really there is little that can be done. This depends on every songmaker. I personnaly ate it when that happens so I do everything I can to create a proper gap... but this also means it takes longer for me to create a song.

Re: Ultrastar speed issue?
Here's an example for this song (click for full picture)
BPM for this song about ~200. The vertical black lane represents a 'page break', or when we tell the game that a line of text is done.
From experience, I think 200-300 bpms need a gap of at least 3. So in this case, when the song hits the beginning of the orange rectangle, it already goes to the next page. So you still haven't sang the notes within the rectangle that they are already gone.
In the next line, you are still singing the last note when the game already switches.
Now... I am not exactly sure whether you can still earn points for notes that have gone. I know that your score appears event if you change pages, but I don't know whether you get points or not..

Re: Ultrastar speed issue?
It's gonna take a while to get used to editing the files but I'll probably have to do what I can. But I'm glad you understood what I meant and by your explanation, I think you got it down. Thanks for helping out and like I said, I'll have to try and understand how to do those page gaps. Other than that, anyway I can be allowed to request song? It still shows the same problem as before.

Re: Ultrastar speed issue?
There's really a bug on your username I can't find the problem with the song request
(In the meantime, post your song request here). Still trying to figure out why it isn't working...
